30chan is a small, independent image-based bulletin board - a humble forum with big ambitions. We're an indie team building this in our spare time, out of our own pockets, because we love imageboards and want a freer, friendlier place to hang out. No corporate owners, no investors, no algorithms - just people and posts.
We're only getting started, and we grow one thread at a time. Stick around, start a thread, bring a friend, and help us become something great.
These global rules apply across every board. Individual boards may add their own. Breaking them can get your post deleted and your IP banned.
What is 30chan?
A simple anonymous imageboard. Pick a board, read
threads, and jump in. No account needed.
Do I need to register?
No. Posting is anonymous - everyone is
"Anonymous". There are no accounts or logins.
How do I post?
Open a board and use the form to start a thread, or
hit Reply on a thread. Start a line with > for greentext,
and use >> plus a post number to quote someone.
Is it really anonymous?
Your posts don't show a name, but for
moderation and analytics we log your IP, device, and approximate location
(see Privacy). 30chan is not a place to do anything illegal.
How do I report a post or request a takedown?

with a link to the post.
Why was my post deleted / why am I banned?
Almost always a rule
break. You can appeal by email.
Can I get my own board?
Not yet - but we love suggestions. Send

Who runs this / how is it funded?
A small indie team, out of
pocket. No ads, no investors (yet).
30Chan records your IP address, browser/device (user-agent), and an approximate location (country/region/city derived from your IP) for every post and page view. This is used for moderation, ban enforcement, and site analytics. By using 30Chan you consent to this collection.
Data we store per post and page view: timestamp, IP address, browser user-agent, and approximate location (country/region/city) derived from your IP. We do not sell this data. It is retained for moderation and analytics and is accessible to site administrators.
We set a first-party cookie containing a random visitor id so we can understand how visitors move through the site. It is used only for our own on-site analytics and is not shared with third parties.
For security and abuse prevention we also collect technical characteristics of your browser and device (a "device fingerprint") to detect ban evasion, spam, and automated abuse. This may include screen and hardware details, timezone and language, graphics/GPU and rendering (canvas/WebGL) signatures, an audio signature, installed fonts and voices, and network information. We may store an identifier across multiple browser storage mechanisms so it persists if cookies are cleared, and your browser may reveal a local or real network address. We may also ask your browser for your precise location; this only succeeds if you grant the permission prompt, and you can deny it. If you don't want this, don't use the site.
